Barbara Brosher is the senior news editor at WFIU/WTIU in Bloomington, Indiana. In addition to helping coordinate the station’s daily news coverage, she files in-depth reports for PBS and NPR stations across Indiana. Barbara is also part of NPR’s criminal justice reporting collaborative.
Barbara’s received multiple Associated Press, Society of Professional Journalists and Edward R. Murrow awards for her reporting on criminal justice and minority issues in Indiana, as well as for her ongoing coverage of the HIV epidemic in Scott County. Before coming to south-central Indiana, she worked as a reporter and anchor at WNDU.
Originally from Normal, Illinois, Barbara is a proud graduate of Eastern Illinois University’s journalism program.
