Heather Good is a multimedia journalist for WTHI-TV in Terre Haute. Good joined the Channel 10 News Team in October 2017.
Heather made stops in Evansville, Indiana and Champaign, Illinois before moving to the Wabash Valley. She was the weekend anchor and producer as well as the lead reporter for WEVV-TV. Good was responsible for launching an hour long newscast on FOX and a half-hour newscast on CBS. During her time in the Tri-State she was recognized by the Indiana Broadcasters Association as a Finalist in the General News Reporting category for her report on an active shooter drill at a church preschool. Heather was also recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists earning 1st Place in the Election and Campaign Coverage category for her work on the series “Focused on the Candidates.” She was awarded a third place in the Coverage of Children’s Issues category.
Heather landed her first television job at WICD-TV. She was hired as the Vermilion County Bureau MMJ but was often referred to as the “utility player” filling-in for many jobs. Good acted as an anchor, producer and weather forecaster frequently.
Good is the proud product of the University of Indianapolis. She was a member of the UIndy TV program for four years and held titles of Promotions Director, News Director and Operations Manager. It was during her time at UIndy Heather first became involved with the Society of Professional Journalists. She founded the school’s SPJ Chapter before graduating in May 2013. Heather led the UIndy TV staff earning several individual and group awards from the Indiana Broadcasters Association and SPJ.
Heather is a Hoosier at heart. She grew up in Goshen, Indiana. Good became interested in television after working for GTV, a multimedia class producing morning announcements and other news and entertainment packages.
Heather loves spending her free time with her dog, Apollo and her cat, Hercules. She can also be found at the local watering hole on karaoke night.
